How to Operate a single screw fish feed extruder machine？

Screw speed control: Dynamic adaptation of core parameters. The screw speed of a single-screw floating fish feed machine directly determines the amount of frictional heat generated and the extrusion pressure, which is key to controlling the puffing effect. Initially, start at 70% of the preset speed and run unloaded for 3-5 minutes to confirm the equipment is functioning correctly before gradually increasing to the target speed. Avoid sudden high-speed starts that could overload the motor. During production, dynamically adjust based on the pellet condition: if pellets are under-puffed (slow sinking, too hard), it indicates insufficient frictional heat, and the speed can be increased by 50-100 rpm; if pellets are over-puffed (brittle, poor water resistance), reduce the speed by 50-80 rpm. For example, when producing carp feed, start at 250 rpm initially, gradually increasing to 320 rpm, observing the pellet condition. If under-puffing is still present, fine-tune to 350 rpm to ensure pellets sink in 3-5 seconds and have a water resistance of over 8 hours. Note that speed adjustments should not be too large, not exceeding 50 rpm each time, to avoid sudden pressure changes that could damage the equipment.

Feed rate control: Ensure stable extrusion pressure. The feed rate must be coordinated with the screw speed to avoid pressure fluctuations caused by insufficient or accumulated raw material. The normal pressure range of the extrusion chamber of a single screw fish feed making machine is 3-6 MPa. Real-time monitoring with pressure gauges is crucial: if the pressure is below 4 MPa, it indicates insufficient raw material supply, requiring an increase in the feed rate (10-20 kg/h per increment for a 100 kg/h model); if the pressure is above 6 MPa, it indicates raw material accumulation, requiring a decrease in the feed rate, and if necessary, a pause in feeding until the pressure drops before resuming. For example, when the pressure drops to 3.5 MPa, increasing the feed rate from 90 kg/h to 110 kg/h can restore the pressure to 4.5 MPa; when the pressure rises to 6.5 MPa, decrease the feed rate to 70 kg/h, while simultaneously checking for die blockage. Furthermore, ensuring uniform feeding is essential, aided by a vibrating feed device to prevent raw material bridging. If feeding is interrupted, the screw speed must be immediately reduced to prevent screw wear from idling.

Real-time monitoring and anomaly adjustment: Ensure continuous and stable production. During operation, the extrusion chamber temperature and particle quality must be monitored simultaneously. The normal temperature range is 120-160℃. If it exceeds 160℃, it indicates excessive frictional heat, requiring a reduction in the single screw fish feed processing machine's rotation speed or feed rate, while also checking for unobstructed heat dissipation channels. If the temperature is below 120℃, the rotation speed should be increased or the feed rate reduced to increase frictional heat. Particle quality should be sampled and checked every 30 minutes: particle uniformity should be above 90%, and the breakage rate should be controlled below 5%. If the breakage rate is too high, reduce the rotation speed and increase the feed rate. If water resistance is insufficient, increase the rotation speed to enhance the extrusion effect. If abnormal noises or vibrations occur, immediately press the emergency stop button, disconnect the power, and after the equipment has completely stopped, inspect the screw, bearings, and other components. Restart the machine only after troubleshooting.
